Jupiter (the Bringer of Jollity) from The Planets
The central section of Jupiter was written to fit the poem "I vow to thee my country". The poem was written between 1908 and 1918 by Sir Cecil Spring-Rice and became known as a response to the human cost of World War I. The hymn was first performed in 1925 and quickly became a patriotic anthem.
